Trinity College: student residences in a historic landscape

Following on from an open international competition in 2021, we have been appointed by Trinity College Bristol to develop our winning design for their new residential development set in the grounds of their Grade II* listed Stoke House in Stoke Bishop, Bristol.

The College is a third-level Anglican theological college, offering a range of full-time and part-time undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The vision is for new accommodation designed to be supportive of the college's ethos and vision for spiritual community, inclusion, and sustainable development. We have spent time working with the College to develop the brief, which includes designing to the LETI Net Zero standard.

We have since helped the client to develop a masterplan for the site and review its assets. As a result we are now working on designs to refurbish and repurpose some of its existing buildings in order to achieve the aims of the original brief.
