Three infill houses on a suburban site

This site in the now suburban village of Westbury on Trym is to the rear of the former Victorian police station on the High Street.  The proposals will provide three contemporary family houses.

The design includes additional accommodation within a raised seam metal mansard roof storey for two of the houses. Materials are simple, with brick, render and vertical timber cladding to walls. Open plan living spaces in each of the houses has access to a patio garden through a large opening glazed screen.

All of the houses include photovoltaic panels on a biodiverse roof. The houses are designed to a high specification with triple glazed windows and a range of energy saving measures which result in an 81% reduction in CO2 emissions over current building regulations requirements.

The project is the subject of a current planning application.
