Greville Smyth Apartments

An infill building providing seven apartments on a tight site in inner south Bristol. The building takes its name from the nearby Greville Smyth Park.

The site has a principal south-west facing frontage onto Baynton Road, and a very limited aspect to the rear. No windows are possible on the side boundaries. The ingenious plan means that all of the apartments have south west facing living spaces. All but one enjoy generous balconies, with the top floor duplex apartment having a south facing roof terrace.

The red brick and raised seam metal building has a highly insulated fabric, with space heating by electric panel heaters and domestic hot water by integrated air source heat pump water cylinders. All apartments in this low rise building are sprinklered.
