Hospital Friend’s Cafe

A new cafe building in an internal courtyard of the campus of Royal United Hospital in Combe Park, Bath.  The building runs along two sides of the courtyard linked to the hospital’s corridors, facing approximately south and west. It replaces a defunct ‘conservatory type’ of building that previously served as a cafe.

The work was undertaken at the same time as the completion of the Combe Ward garden project. This is the creation if a garden specifically designed (by Alex Fraser) for the dementia patients from Combe Ward, set in the same courtyard as the cafe.
