Lawn Avenue, Fishponds, Bristol, for Bristowe (Fair Rent) Housing Association

2000 - 2005

A development of 7 affordable flats for rent in two buildings to the rear of the current Bristowe buildings in Fishponds. The flats are a mix of one and two bedroom units, and include a special needs unit. The buildings are rendered externally in muted colours sympathetic to the surrounding Conservation Area. Details are formed in cast stone in a Bath stone colour. Timber is used for cladding of bay windows, and other external features. Windows are of stained timber, with simple galvanized metal balconies to the living areas of each flat.

The former shared tarmac parking has been replaced with a landscaped courtyard with parking for existing and new flats on tumbled concrete setts.

The project was completed in September 2005 and was fully occupied immediately.
