Portland View is a five storey apartment building on the corner of the Grade I listed Portland Square in Bristol. The building provides 31 apartments served by separate entrances from Dean Street and Bishop Street. The design also includes four 3 bedroom duplexes at street level, each with its own private entrance and rear terrace. The topmost corner flat has a double height corner living room, and like those on the floor below, enjoys views across the square.
The project also includes two small self-contained office suites.
The use of Bath stone closes the vista from the square in a sympathetic manner. Away from the corner the material changes to brick, with the use of raised seam metal to the top floor echoing the use of traditional slate mansard roofs in a modern idiom.
The building was completed and occupied in 2016.
