The site is located between the East Street Conservation Area, and an area known as Bedminster Green which is destined to see a significant change from a light industrial and warehousing area to a new residential quarter in the next decade.
Our proposals for Crown Developments provide 30 apartments in a building that responds to context, varying from three to five storeys in height. The three storey element uses a buff brick, with the five storey element finished in red brick. These are set against deep recesses and an attic storey executed in raised seam metal.
The new building is set at the back of pavement, creating a small communal garden area to the rear which opens to the south west, and afternoon sunshine.
The building has been designed with a communal heating system, and provision for being linked to a future heat network.
A planning application was made in Spring 2019.
