Radiology Department, Royal United Hospital Bath

The redevelopment of the Radiology Department provides facilities for new high technology diagnostic equipment within a new wing.

The MRI and CT extension, started on site in December 1995, and completed in September 1996, is a new three storey wing, built on unpromising leftover space adjacent to the existing 1970s X-Ray Building. The ground floor of the extension houses the new MR & CT Scanning Suite. The first floor provides future space for Image Storage and administration. The top floor contains the complex services plant required for the MR and CT Scanners.

The new facilities were completed in September 2005.
