New Wings to Lewis Manning Hospice, Dorset

2007 -

We have obtained Planning Permission for the addition of two new wings containing twelve patient rooms and ancillary accommodation. The site is constrained by mature pine trees and the need to preserve sea views from the existing 1920s house.

In response to the natural features of the site, and to compliment the scale and form of the existing building, great care has been taken in identifying and selecting appropriate scales, materials, and construction techniques for these extensions. The new wings are designed within the tradition of English garden architecture, being lightweight, timber and incorporating elegant curves.
