Planning permission has been received for four family houses in south Bristol. The development makes use of a deserted backlands site in this residential area. The design of the houses makes use of the south facing slope of Windmill Hill to provide three storeys of accommodation, whilst appearing as two storeys from either side.The houses are finished externally in brick, with feature timber clad entrances and bay windows to add visual interest. The internal spaces are generously sized, with an open-plan living area on the garden level. A communal landscaped area to the front retains two mature trees, a Hornbeam and a Bird Cherry, as the centrepiece of the approach to the development.
