Ten new family homes at Nailsea Glassworks due for completion Summer 2018

The scaffolding is due to come down soon on O’LearyGoss Architects designs for ten family houses at Nailsea Glassworks for Rollo Homes. The form of the ten new houses, constructed within the shell of the last remaining building at this Scheduled Monument site, is now clear. We are particularly delighted with the brick trimmed openings in the stone walls, and the crispness of the natural slate roof.

The houses are due for completion over the summer months.

Planning application for Urban Living in South Bristol

O’LearyGoss Architects have submitted a planning application for 60 apartments (in three buildings) and eight houses on the site of a former builders’ merchant depot in South Bristol. The project, for Crown Developments, will include 13 affordable dwellings for United Communities.

The site is located in an area identified by Bristol City Council as suitable for higher density urban living. Despite the increased density all dwellings are generously proportioned, with every plot enjoying private outdoor space in the form of a garden, roof terrace or balcony. The buildings are set around a communal open play space at the heart of the site.
